Does REPO support gamepads?
Want to play REPO comfortably with the gamepad? Unfortunately, the game itself does not support the controller natively. It is based on the keyboard and mouse design, and it is impossible to play normally by directly connecting the controller.
However, if you are willing to try some settings, you may find a solution.
Steam Deck and handle mapping
If you play on Steam Deck (or use Steam’s controller configuration tool), you can manually map game controls to gamepads. Steam Input allows you to assign buttons and rockers to keyboard and mouse inputs. Simply put, it is to make the game mistakenly think that your controller is a keyboard.
It should be noted that the game still thinks you are using the keyboard, so all the prompts and interfaces will still show keys instead of buttons. This is not really a handle support, but just a workaround for players who are determined to abandon their keyboards.
So while you can use the controller in REPO using Steam input, the game itself is not officially supported. But I won't stop you if you're willing to try.
