Wordle Analysis
I'm quite lucky today! Although "FLOAT" leaves 160 possible solutions, "LINER" narrows the selection to only one: IDLER! yeah!
I got 1 point for three-step guessing and an extra point for beating Wordle Bot. Bot lost 1 point because he guessed five steps, and lost another point because he lost to me. This ended with an amazing draw in April!
Erik: 15 points
Wordle Bot: 15 points
If today is double points Friday, I can win easily. Still, I was a little surprised to be able to tie the game when I was lagging behind most of the time. Double!
How to score for participating in Wordle competitions:
- 3 points in one step; 2 points in two steps; 1 point in three steps; 0 points in four steps; 5-step guess; 1 point in five-step guess; 1 point in six-step guess; 2 points in two steps; 3 points in non-guess.
- Defeat an opponent and score 1 point; draw a score of 0 points; loss to the opponent and score -1 point. Add the scores to get the total score. You can accumulate scores per day or you can only calculate daily scores.
- Friday's score doubles (positive or negative).
- You can accumulate scores per day or you can only calculate daily scores. I wish you a happy time!
Wordle etymology analysis today
The word "idler" comes from the noun "idle" (meaning "inactive" or "lazy") plus the suffix "-er" (meaning "… person") indicating the caster.
"idle" can be traced back to the Old English idel , meaning "empty, useless, futile", probably originated from the original Germanic idla- ("empty, futile").
Therefore, "idler" means "lazy person".
