As you approach the Lightning Temple, you'll notice two Gibdo hives ahead and a prominent pink sac on the temple wall between them. To proceed, we must target the pink sac with Riju's lightning strike. This action will clear the path, but first, we must confront a challenging boss battle.

The Queen Gibdo, a formidable insect-like entity, is likely the cause of the desert's sand shroud and the source of all Gibdos, including their attacks. To stop its mischief, we need to defeat it. This boss employs three primary attacks: it will rise on its hind legs to emit a continuous stream of sand that sweeps the area, causing severe damage; hence, you must dodge to the side. It also generates small tornadoes in front of itself, launching them forward in a straight line; sidestep to avoid these. Lastly, it can charge directly at you, trying to trample you; once again, evasion is key.

Having previously battled this boss at the temple's entrance, we now face it again in its cornered state. The initial phase of this encounter mirrors our earlier fight, so you should be somewhat familiar with its tactics. To recap, the boss has three main attacks: it rears up to unleash a damaging sand spray that moves across the area, necessitating a side dodge; it creates and launches small tornadoes forward, requiring you to move laterally; and it charges at you, which you must evade.

To inflict damage, utilize Riju's lightning attack to strip the boss of its armor, indicated by a temporary white color, making it vulnerable to further attacks. A few rapid lightning strikes will cause it to collapse, giving you a window to attack before it recovers.

At 50% health, the battle dynamics shift. The four Gibdo hives around the arena activate, spawning more Gibdos. Additionally, the boss gains the ability to fly and execute a new swooping attack alongside its existing moves.

First, swiftly destroy all the Gibdo hives while keeping an eye on both the boss and the emerging Gibdos. After destroying the hives, light beams will appear in their places. Lure the regular Gibdos into these beams to weaken them, and clear them out while avoiding the boss's attacks.

With only the boss left, refocus your efforts on it. The strategy remains similar to the first phase, but now you must also account for its new swooping maneuver. Keep using Riju's lightning to weaken the boss until you can deliver the final blow.

Persist with this approach until the battle concludes. Upon defeating the boss, you will be rewarded with a complete Heart Container. Proceed to the altar to speak with Riju and engage in a lengthy cut-scene, after which you'll return to Gerudo Town for another extended scene and dialogue, marking the quest's completion.

Note: After this quest, you'll gain the ability to summon a shadowy clone of Riju, which can assist in both combat and exploration, still utilizing her lightning attack.
