Zelda Breath of the Wild Master Cycle Zero best fuel explained
Jun 19, 2025 am 09:47 AMMaster Cycle Zero in Zelda: Breath of the Wild is the standout addition from DLC 2The Champion's Ballad, a motorbike that changes how you traverse Hyrule.
While it's likely one of the final items you'll obtain in the game, similar to other weapons you find, there are restrictions on its use—specifically fuel. Knowing the best fuel options is crucial for smooth travel.
With that in mind, here's how to unlock the Master Cycle Zero, how to use it, and the most effective Master Cycle Zero fuel in Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
How to unlock Master Cycle Zero in Zelda Breath of the Wild
To get the Master Cycle Zero, you must complete the full story of DLC 2. This doesn't mean finishing every side quest that unlocks new armor—it just means completing the main Champion's Ballad storyline.
You don’t need to have finished the entire game, but you must have completed all four Divine Beasts and defeated each of the corresponding Blight Ganons to begin this DLC content. Please note, the following list contains spoilers for the DLC.
The required objectives include:
- Taking down four camps using the One-Hit Obliterator and completing their associated Shrines
- Completing EX Champion Mipha's Song (three shrines and a boss fight with Waterblight Ganon)
- Completing EX Champion Daruk's Song (three shrines and a boss fight with Fireblight Ganon)
- Completing EX Champion Rivali's Song (three shrines and a boss fight with Windblight Ganon)
- Completing EX Champion Urbosa's Song (three shrines and a boss fight with Thunderblight Ganon)
- Finishing The Divine Trial dungeon along with its final boss
Once you defeat the last boss in The Divine Trial, the Master Cycle Zero will be unlocked and ready for use anytime in the open world.
How to use the Master Cycle Zero in Zelda Breath of the Wild
After defeating the final boss of the Champions' Ballad DLC, you can summon the Master Cycle Zero whenever you want. If you're looking to do some impressive stunts, it's only a few button presses away.
To call it into action, press Up on the D-pad and choose the new Rune icon located at the far-right of your abilities submenu. Then, press 'L' to summon it like any other ability. Press 'A' to mount and start riding!
As shown in the image above by CompleteyClueless (via Imgur and Reddit), different items provide varying amounts of fuel.
Common items such as Apples, Flints, Wood, Boboblin and Lizalfos parts offer the highest fuel value, with five items filling half the tank. In contrast, five rare Dragon parts will only fill one-eighth of the tank.
This makes those common items scattered throughout your inventory very useful, while saving the rarer materials for late-game armor upgrades or potion crafting.
