Jake Paul's 7 Brutal Knockout Wins: Every KO Before Chavez Jr.
Jun 19, 2025 am 10:47 AMThe “Problem Child” has made no bones about it. He wants to make Chavez his eighth victim. In case you need a refresher, here’s a look back at all seven of Paul’s career KOs.
No matter how you feel about Paul, it’s impossible to watch this journey and not see his growth.
AnEsonGib
- Date: January 30, 2020
- Result: 1st-round TKO
- Details: At this point, Paul was nothing more than a YouTuber boxing another content creator. He dropped Gib three times before the referee mercifully stepped in to stop the fight.
Nate Robinson
- Date: November 28, 2020
- Result: 2nd-round KO
- Details: This KO was Paul’s first viral moment as a boxer. Paul left Robinson, a former NBA Slam Dunk champion, lying face-down on the canvas.
Ben Askren
- Date: April 17, 2021
- Result: 1st-round TKO
- Details: This was Paul’s first fight against a combat sports athlete, but Askren, a wrestler by primary trade, was dropped early and the fight was waved off.
Tyron Woodley
- Date: December 18, 2021
- Result: 6th-round KO
- Details: In their second meeting, Paul launched himself to a different stratosphere of notoriety as a boxer. To this day, this is Paul’s most iconic KO. A huge overhand right resulted in a highlight-reel KO of Woodley.
André August
- Date: December 15, 2023
- Result: 1st-round KO
- Details: Paul landed a devastating uppercut to end the fight. This was Paul’s first meeting with an actual boxer, though August was less than impressive.
Ryan Bourland
- Date: March 2, 2024
- Result: 1st-round TKO
- Details: I was at this fight in Puerto Rico. It was never a serious fight or in doubt. Bourland looked overwhelmed from the outset and content with just having participated.
Mike Perry
- Date: July 20, 2024
- Result: 6th-round TKO
- Details: Initially, this date was set for Paul to face Mike Tyson. However, Perry stepped up to take Tyson’s place. Perry’s boxing skills were far too rudimentary for Paul and he was stopped in the sixth round.
Paul’s Next Victim?
Chavez is a former world champion. The 39-year-old is far removed from his glory days as a fighter. The second-generation fighter was once a middleweight champion, and he still holds a respectable professional record of 54-6-1 with 34 KOs.
Chavez Jr. hasn’t competed seriously since 2019, and he’s fought just once since 2021. In July 2024, Chavez defeated former UFC fighter Uriah Hall via unanimous decision in a six-round fight.
Despite Chavez’s lineage and experience, he is a shadow of what he was during his time as a world champion. That said, he is still far and away the most accomplished boxer Paul has faced in his career. While much older, he’s even more experienced than Tommy Fury, the only man to defeat Paul.
Will Chavez’s skill be enough to test Paul more than he’s been tested in the past? Even more, could Chavez Jr. actually hand Paul his second loss?
I’ll definitely be watching to find out. Be on the lookout for fight week coverage including post-fight results and reaction.
