In Dune: Awakening, gathering resources on Arrakis presents varying levels of challenge. Some materials, like Copper, are relatively easy to come by. However, if you're after Erythrite Crystals, you’ll need to put in more effort. This rare mineral only appears in limited locations, so you might not be searching in the correct areas, making it one of the more uncommon resources in the game.
That said, once you discover where they spawn, you can collect large amounts of the crystals. If you're having trouble tracking them down, this guide will help you locate Erythrite Crystals with ease.
How To Find Erythrite Crystals
There are many different resources that spawn randomly across Arrakis, such as Granite. Additionally, there are certain materials like Carbon that are only available in specific zones. The same applies to Erythrite Crystals.
It appears that Erythrite Crystals are exclusive to one area—the Hagga Rift. You can find this zone north of Western Vermillius Gap. However, even when you’re inside this region, you still need to search in particular spots.
To begin your hunt, make your way to the Hagga Rift, where you'll find CHOAM Mineral Extraction Facilities that contain the Erythrite Crystals. Since you may have to travel a bit, it's wise to bring along a Sandbike for faster movement.
Keep in mind that these facilities are heavily populated by enemies, so ensure you are well-equipped and carry enough water to sustain yourself during your search.
How To Extract Erythrite Crystals
Once you arrive at the location, the crystals should be fairly easy to spot. They resemble piles of Carbon rocks, but are distinguishable by their pink crystal coating.
To harvest Erythrite Crystals, you'll need at least the Cuttereray Mk2. Naturally, any upgraded version of the tool will also work.
Since higher-tier Cutterrays become increasingly expensive to craft, you may not want to use them directly on the rock pile. Fortunately, you can often find loose Erythrite Crystals scattered around the larger rock formations.
While exploring the Extraction Facilities, check crates and storage units—you may find additional Erythrite Crystals stored within. Also, feel free to return to these sites repeatedly, as the crystals respawn in the same locations over time.
