Apple has released a second release candidate build for MacOS Ventura for users participating in the beta testing programs.
This second RC build, identified by the number 22A380, likely contains additional bug fixes or improvements over the first RC version numbered 22A379.
Considering that macOS Ventura is scheduled to be made available to the public on Monday, October 24, this latest build is expected to be the one officially launched for general use.
New features introduced in MacOS Ventura include a redesigned multitasking interface named Stage Manager, FaceTime Handoff functionality, email scheduling and unsend options in the Mail app, Continuity Camera support allowing iPhone users to utilize their device as a webcam for Mac, iMessage editing and unsending capabilities within the Messages app, new Clock and Weather apps, Safari Tab Groups, along with a renamed and reimagined System Settings application, and several other minor enhancements.
How to Download MacOS Ventura Release Candidate 2
Users currently running an earlier beta of macOS Ventura can download the RC 2 build via ? System Settings > General > Software Update.
The update will appear labeled simply as “macOS Ventura 13.0”, which is consistent with Apple’s standard method of distributing release candidates.
When Will macOS Ventura Be Released?
According to Apple, macOS Ventura will officially launch on October 24.
For those who wish to access it ahead of the official release, installing the macOS Ventura public beta on a compatible Mac will allow immediate access to the release candidate builds. However, ensure your Mac supports macOS Ventura before proceeding.
