How to get to Artazon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
If you haven’t yet unlocked the two Pokémon Centers near Artazon, the simplest route is to exit Mesagoza from its eastern gate and follow the road east until you arrive at the town.
If you're having trouble navigating, set Artazon as your destination on the map so it shows up on your mini-map. Upon arrival, you’ll see the Gym located to the right of a ranch, which has statues of Sunflora outside. Before battling Brassius, you must first go to this ranch to begin your Gym challenge.
Sunflora locations for Hide-and-Seek challenge in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
To take on Gym Leader Brassius in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, your first task is completing the Artazon Gym Test—this involves playing Hide-and-Seek with 10 Sunflora.
Begin by speaking to the staff member just outside the ranch who has a gold speech bubble over their head. They will ask you to find 10 Sunflora scattered around Artazon and return them to the ranch.
There's no time limit for the Artazon Gym Test, but to help speed things up, here are all 10 Sunflora locations listed below:
Sunflora location 1, 2, and 3
These three Sunflora are directly behind you after talking to the Gym staff member. Simply turn around and interact with each one to have them follow you.
Sunflora location 4
Head left of the Gym and follow the path to find the fourth Sunflora near a streetlamp. This one will try to run when you approach, so chase it down and then interact to initiate a battle.
Here’s how to defeat this Sunflora:
Pokémon | Level | Type | Weaknesses |
---|---|---|---|
Sunflora | 14 | Grass | Bug, Fire, Flying, Poison and Ice |
Sunflora location 5
Look for the next Sunflora beside the pond, positioned on the right side of the maze entrance.
Sunflora location 6
This Sunflora is found on the walkway behind the pond.
Sunflora location 7
The seventh Sunflora is located between four stone art pieces, just to the right of the pond.
Sunflora location 8
This Sunflora rests atop a flowerpot next to a fake Sunflora, which is standing near a man sitting on a bench. You'll find this down the path to the left of the maze entrance.
Sunflora location 9
Another Sunflora sits atop a plant pot outside a building in the western shopping district of Artazon, close to the Pokémon Center.
Sunflora location 10
The final Sunflora is hidden beneath the children's play area behind the pool, located to the right of the ranch.
Once you've gathered all 10 Sunflora for the Hide-and-Seek challenge, return them to the staff member at the ranch and prepare yourself for the upcoming fight with Gym Leader Brassius.
How to beat Grass Gym Leader Brassius in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
Brassius, the Artazon Gym Leader, specializes in Grass-type Pokémon, and his team reflects that preference.
Grass-types are vulnerable to Flying, Poison, Bug, Fire, and Ice-type moves, so bring those types into battle.
If you chose Fuecoco as your starter, you’ll have an advantage. If not, consider catching a Fletching—a Fire/Flying-type Pokémon commonly found north and northeast of Cortondo, such as in the Grand Olive Orchard.
Keep in mind that like other Gym Leaders, Brassius will Terastallize his final Pokémon. Even if it starts as a different type, it will change to Grass-type during the battle.
Brassius’s team consists of:
Pokémon | Level | Type | Weaknesses |
---|---|---|---|
Petili | 16 | Grass | Bug, Fire, Flying, Poison and Ice |
Smoliv | 16 | Grass | Normal Bug, Fire, Fighting, Flying, Poison and Ice |
Sudowoodo | 17 | RockTerra Type: Grass | Fighting, Grass, Ground, Steel and WaterTerra Type: Bug, Fire, Flying, Poison and Ice |
After defeating Brassius, you’ll receive 3,060 Poké Dollars, TM020 Trailblaze, and the Artazon Gym Badge. The level cap increase for your Pokémon depends on your current progress in the Victory Road story.
Depending on where you are in the Victory Road storyline, you might also be challenged by Nemona after beating Brassius.
Who will you face next? Is it Katy, Kofu, Iono, Larry, Ryme, Tulip, or Grusha? Or perhaps you’re ready to challenge the Elite Four and Top Champion? Alternatively, you may want to continue exploring the Path of Legends or Starfall Street stories.
