How to get the Ancient Saddle in Zelda Breath of the Wild
The location for this part of the EX Ancient Horse Rumors mission isn't too far from where you first found the journal at the beginning of the quest. If you've already visited the Highland Stable, you should have unlocked the Ka'o Makagh Shrine. If not, it can be found on a ridge overlooking the stables. If it's already available, fast travel there and then head southeast.
Use the mountain behind the shrine as a path to cross over to the Lake of the Horse God and land on the bridge spanning across it. Follow the trail leading into the mountains until you come across a large plant pod. Behind it, you'll spot a chest partially buried in the mud. If you're having trouble locating it, turn on Magnesis and the chest should glow pink. Extract it and open it to claim the Ancient Saddle.
To equip either item, you must first reach maximum bond with any regular horse in Hyrule. Then, speak with a stable hand at any stable to exchange your current bridle and saddle for these enhanced versions. These items offer significant advantages, including two additional spurs and the ability to summon your horse instantly, no matter how far away it is.
How to get the Ancient Bridle in Zelda Breath of the Wild
The Ancient Bridle requires more travel than the saddle. It’s located high up in the Satori Mountains, just south of Hyrule Bridge (in the Ridgeland Region of Hyrule).
If you're having trouble finding the area, look for the Mogg Latan Shrine, which sits at the base of the Satori Mountains.
Warp to the shrine, climb all the way to the top, and look for a small lake with a tall tree beside it (you may also encounter a unicorn during your climb). The chest containing the Ancient Bridle is hidden beneath the ground at the base of this tree. Use Magnesis to pull it out and add the Ancient Bridle to your inventory.
