Raidou Remastered: The Mystery Of The Soulless Army - Moon Phases Guide
Jun 20, 2025 am 04:03 AMAs you continue through the eerie tale of Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army, you'll find that a small icon in the top corner of your screen keeps track of the current phase of the moon. While it doesn't always impact the story, there are definitely ways to benefit from it!
Whether you're using the lunar phases in Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army to create stronger devil fusions with Victor inside the Goumaden or making a quick trip to Ginza-cho for a stop at Shin-Sekai, keep an eye on the moon.
Use The Moon To Boost Your Stats And Fuse Better Devils
During your journey, you’ll constantly see the moon’s phase displayed in the top corner of your screen, but it's important to realize this isn’t strictly tied to real-time progression like in some other games. Since each neighborhood area in the Capitol is split into individual screens, the moon phase changes when you move between these screens.
For instance, if you exit Narumi Detective Agency and head toward Kounno-ya, this counts as moving between screens—often marked by a shift in camera angle (and also the area name shown in another corner). If you leave Raidou idle on one screen, time won't progress no matter how long he stands still, so you’ll need to walk around a bit to advance the cycle.
Demonstrate Relies On The Moon
If you've summoned a demon with the Skill Order trait, they may come equipped with the Passive Skill known as Demonstrate, which varies depending on the moon's phase and can offer different benefits. These include restoring HP and MAG, transforming an item in your inventory into something else (which could be good or bad), or even giving you some extra cash.
Also, before long, you’ll collect several demons with useful Passive Skills inside your tubes, two of which are worth watching out for: Scavenger and Loose Change. These allow demons to locate items and money respectively while wandering with Raidou across the Capitol. During Full Moons in Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army, you’ll earn more yen, and demons with Scavenger will help you find better loot. Swap out your familiar based on the moon’s phase to maximize this advantage!
Visit Shin-Sekai On New Moons To Power Up
Once you unlock access to Ginza-cho in Chapter Two of Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army, don’t forget to stop by Shin-Sekai, a soda shop located on the northern edge of town, reachable directly via streetcar and the new fast travel system. There’s plenty to do here—you can chat with locals for tips on summoning devils or read the paper for your next assignments—but the main draw is buying sodas to temporarily boost Raidou’s stats.
Once you reach the soda fountain, you’ll find a variety of drinks available for just a few hundred yen. These beverages will increase Raidou’s stats until the next Full Moon, and if you visit Shin-Sekai right after a New Moon appears—especially before a major boss battle—it’s smart to grab a drink to give Raidou Kuzunoha XIV an edge in combat.
Some drinks offer boosts to specific stats, such as Strength, Magic, Vitality, and Luck, and you can buy multiple drinks at once for broader effects if you’ve got enough yen. As you purchase more sodas, the shop owner will slowly unlock special recipes, so the more you spend, the more options you gain.
The Goumaden Is More Prone To Fusion Accidents
Lastly, the chances of encountering fusion mishaps in the Goumaden vary according to the lunar calendar, with both New Moons and Full Moons increasing the likelihood of not getting the devil you intended. However, the resulting demon will often have better-than-average stats compared to its standard version. This kind of mechanic is fairly typical in Atlus JRPGs, so if you’ve played similar titles, you might already know what to expect.
You'll probably summon a Mitama Order demon early on, but during a Full Moon, Mitama fusion results improve even further, so take advantage of the free stat bonus whenever possible—just be cautious, since things can go off track and that bonus might end up applied to a demon you weren’t planning to fuse at all.
