EZQuest has redefined what “portable” means to me, specifically when talking about grab-and-go chargers. Reviewing this kind of tech is my bread and butter, so it’s fair to say I’ve tested my fair share of portable power stations. I cannot recall the last time one of these chargers fit into my pants pocket, though.
Measuring just 3.31 inches tall and 1.77 inches wide, the UltraSlim 70W is one of the smallest chargers I’ve ever seen, bar none. I actually thought the EZQuest team may have made the UltraSlim Find My compatible because I can totally see myself losing a charger like this. There’s no built-in speaker with a companion app to send chimes either, and the black and white colorways don’t exactly call attention to themselves.
That just means we’ll all have to be extra careful, including yours truly, who misplaced the UltraSlim and had a hell of a time finding it!
The hinged AC plug folded up and down without issue, and I actually liked the fact that there were only two USB-C ports to work with. Sometimes, these charger companies give you way too much tech to work with. My one gripe with the design: there’s no LED indicator. It’s a minor complaint, but it would be nice to know if the outlet I’m plugging the UltraSlim into is live or not.

A simple solution for all your workstation needs.
Tailor-Made for Fast Charging ------------------------------- The UltraSlim 70W features the latest in GaN II technology, which allows the folks at EZQuest to achieve such a small design. It’s also why this little pup is a fully-grown bloodhound when it comes to charging your go-to gadgets.
The GaN internals bode well for heat dissipation. During my tests, the UltraSlim was never anything more than a little warm to the touch. The unit even includes over-current, over-voltage, over-temperature, and short-circuit protections, ensuring whatever you plug in is safe and sound.
When charging a single device, the UltraSlim delivers up to 70 watts, which EZQuest claims can charge a 13-inch MacBook Air from zero to 80% in one hour. Should you end up needing both USB-C ports, the UltraSlim splits the output to 35 watts per port, or 45 watts and 20 watts. The UltraSlim uses Intelligent Power Allocation to adjust wattage output in real-time, too.
For one of my tests, I plugged in my iPhone 12 and no other devices. At 2:40, the battery level was at 41%, and by 3:10, it was up to 80%. I then connected my AirPods Pro 2 case to the second port. At 3:20, my iPhone was at 84% and the case was at 70%, and by 3:45, my phone was up to 94% and the case to 91%.

This is the compact USB-C charger that can.
1 A lot of the marketing around the UltraSlim 70W is focused on the fact that it’s 2.5x times smaller than a 70-watt MacBook charger. I used it to charge my M1 MacBook Pro from 68% to 88% battery in just half an hour. This is in line with my expectations, as EZQuest claims the UltraSlim 70W can charge two 13-inch MacBook Airs (smaller battery than the M1 Pro) from zero to 80% in half an hour.Another pro: The UltraSlim 70W takes up such a small footprint that you won’t have to worry about it blocking off additional outlets. And if you’re trying to get your desk squeezed as close to the wall as possible, the charger’s 0.51-inch depth is going to be your best friend.
Should You Buy the EZQuest UltraSlim 70W GaN II Dual USB-C PD Wall Charger?
I wish the EZQuest UltraSlim 70W GaN II Dual USB-C PD Wall Charger were $30. Heck, I’d even pay $35. For $50, I would have liked to have seen an LED indicator or just one other small feature, but I’m still going to recommend this product like crazy. Maybe it’ll go on sale at some point, too.
