Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Memories Locations - Where to find all Geoglyphs and Dragon's Tears
Jun 18, 2025 am 01:11 AMUPDATE: We have added an interactive map to this guide to assist you in locating all of the memories in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom's Impa and the Geoglyphs quest.
Scattered across Hyrule in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom are Dragon Tear Geoglyphs, which conceal important story elements known as Memories.
Even though Link hasn’t been in slumber for a century like at the start of Breath of the Wild, he still needs to uncover some hidden truths. Despite the twists and turns in Tears of the Kingdom’s plot, there are still Memories for Link to discover—referred to in this game as Tears of the Dragon.
In many ways, these memories are actually easier to locate than in previous games because they are marked by massive Geoglyphs, enormous artworks carved into the land and mountains of Hyrule.
These geoglyphs are best seen from the sky, encouraging players to spot them while skydiving and then make their way toward them. However, it's still helpful to know exactly where each one is located—and where within them the Dragon Tears can be found.

Impa and the Geoglyphs Memories Quest
Early in your journey through Tears of the Kingdom, you’ll encounter several early-game quests at or near Lookout Landing—the first town you visit after descending from the Great Sky Island following the tutorial. One of these quests, given by Cado, isn't a side mission but rather part of the main storyline—specifically, Impa and the Geoglyphs.
The entire quest takes place around New Serenne Stable (the closest fast travel point is the Sinakawak Shrine), located west and slightly north of Lookout Landing, across Carok Bridge.
As you progress through this quest line, Impa will explain the nature of the Geoglyphs and the secrets they contain, guiding you to your very first Dragon’s Tear Memory. Completing this initiates another main quest, The Dragon’s Tears.
At this stage, you’re free to begin collecting all of the memories, which will reveal many key moments in the story of Tears of the Kingdom. There are 11 additional memories to find, and the rest of this guide will help you track them down.
Tears of the Kingdom Memory Locations
As shown above, there are 12 collectible memories available in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. You'll obtain Memory 1 automatically during the introductory portion of the mechanic with Impa, and then you can collect the next 10 in any order you prefer. A final 12th memory becomes accessible only after collecting the first 11, and is labeled on the map as ‘FIN’.
It should be noted that these account for only 12 out of the 18 memories listed in TOTK’s menu system. The remaining five are obtained through other story events, such as acquiring the Master Sword and other major story developments.
Because you can collect the memories in any sequence, the narrative reveals may not follow a strict chronological order. If you'd prefer to experience them in a logical timeline, we've arranged them accordingly in the map above and below.
If you’d rather explore the geoglyphs at your own pace and in no particular order, the interactive map embedded below shows all memory locations, including those acquired via quests and story progression:

This one will be marked on your map automatically—but physically, it’s located in the distinctive swirl of land on the eastern edge of the Akkala region—east of Tarrey Town and the Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower.
Once you’ve collected all the Memories, you might want to seek out the Master Sword next.
