How to Disable Windows Print Spooler Service Windows 10/11? - MiniTool

The Windows Print Spooler temporarily stores print jobs in memory. However, its vulnerability makes it a target for malicious code execution.

Three Methods to Disable the Windows Print Spooler Service:
Method 1: Using the Services App
- Open the Run dialog (Win R).
- Type
services.mscand press Enter. - Locate "Print Spooler," double-click to open its properties.
- Under the "General" tab, set "Startup type" to "Disabled." If the service is running, click "Stop."
- Click "Apply" to save changes.
Method 2: Using the Local Group Policy Editor
This method blocks remote connections to the print spooler.
