Additionally, Apple has issued a set of security updates for most of its other operating systems, including iOS 17.0.1, iPadOS 17.0.1, iOS 16.7, iPadOS 16.7, and updates to watchOS 10.0.1 and watchOS 9.6.3. Beta testers for macOS Sonoma will also encounter a new RC build.
How to Download & Install macOS Ventura 13.6 / macOS Monterey 12.7 Update
To begin, make sure to back up your Mac with Time Machine. Installing the update is straightforward:
- Navigate to the ? Apple menu, then select “System Settings” (Ventura) or “System Preferences” (Monterey).
- Click on “General” (Ventura).
- Proceed to “Software Update.”
- Opt to “Update Now” for macOS Ventura 13.6 / macOS Monterey 12.7 to download and install the security update on your Mac.
Regardless of whether you opt for macOS Monterey 12.7 or macOS Ventura 13.6, your Mac will require a restart to finalize the installation.
Keep in mind that if you're currently using macOS Sonoma, you won’t see updates for Ventura or Monterey available; instead, you'll encounter a new RC build of Sonoma.
