While Roblox's Grow a Garden may mainly focus on cultivating a green thumb and nurturing your favorite plants, it's hard to ignore the appeal of the pets. With the latest Prehistoric Update, six new pets have been introduced, giving players the chance to add their own dinosaur companions to their gardens.
These pets emerge from Dinosaur Eggs, so here’s everything you need to know about obtaining and hatching Dinosaur Eggs, as well as which dinosaurs you can acquire and what traits they offer.
All Dinosaur Pets And Their Traits
Here’s a detailed look at all the new dinosaur pets and their special abilities.

| **T-Rex** | *Divine* | It will devour a random mutation from your garden every 20.03m, then roars and **spreads that mutation to 3.35 other random fruits**. |
| **Brontosaurus** | *Mythical* | When present in your garden, **any pet hatched from an egg will see a 5.39% increase in base size and weight**. |
| **Pterodactyl** | *Legendary* | Every 10.54m, it flaps its wings, **causing 3.29 random fruits to become Windstruck**, with an 18.68% chance of also applying Twisted. |
| **Raptor** | *Legendary* | While in your garden, there is a **2.71% chance your fruit will gain the Amber mutation** after being harvested, and you'll also **gain 14.89% movement speed** for your character. |
| **Stegosaurus** | *Legendary* | With this pet in your garden, there's an **8.22% chance that harvesting fruit will yield a duplicate**. |
| **Triceratops** | *Legendary* | Every 3.33m, it rams three random plants and **boosts their growth by 33.33ml**. There's a 15.40% chance it will repeat this action each time. |
How To Get And Hatch Dinosaur Eggs
There are two main ways to obtain Dinosaur Eggs:
- By completing quests given by Blaire (located in the center of the map).
- By trading pets* with Graham (also located in the center of the map, opposite Blaire).
Note that Graham won’t accept dinosaur pets. While most pets can produce a Dinosaur Egg, trading rarer pets gives a chance to receive a dinosaur pet instead.
The DNA Machine requires one hour to process (to give you your egg).
Once you have a Dinosaur Egg, place it in your garden where it will take four hours and ten minutes to hatch, though you can choose to speed up the process at a cost.
