In Peak, a single misstep can send you plummeting to your demise, and if your entire team gets wiped out, that’s game over. Or... is it? Hidden among the game's many items lies the Cursed Skull, a mysterious artifact that offers a twisted form of salvation. It's not something you'd want to use, but when disaster strikes, it might just save your skin.
Understanding when (and when not) to activate this item could be the difference between pulling off an amazing recovery or making a costly mistake. Here’s how to locate the Cursed Skull and ensure its power doesn’t backfire on you.
How To Obtain The Cursed Skull
There are two possible locations where you can find the Cursed Skull: higher-tier Luggage and Altars.
- High-tier Luggage is more valuable than standard chests; it appears less frequently and is typically hidden in hard-to-reach areas. These containers often hold superior gear.
- The Altar spawns close to the campfire at the end of each biome. These Altars offer rare items as a reward for progressing into new zones. Because of this, they’re one of the most dependable sources for acquiring the Cursed Skull.
How To Activate The Cursed Skull
Using the skull is simple — just carry it and interact with it. This will cause it to 'commune'. It will immediately resurrect all fallen teammates, but at the cost of your own life.
If you're the last survivor, or if your teammates have already perished or left the session, the skull will still activate, but your run ends pointlessly. Only use it if there are still allies left who can continue.
